The Feira Nacional de Artesanato (National Craft Fair) besides exhibiting and commercializing more than 30 thousand craft items, offering to the public the opportunity of knowing all the Brazilian states and other countries cultural production also invests in the professional formation of craftspeople. Workshops, lectures, courses and seminars which are offered, free of charge, to everyone interested in acquiring knowledge related to the Brazilian craft production.
In 2007, during the 18th edition of the Feira Nacional, the expositors and visitors had access to lectures on product commercialization, exports, fair participation, recycling, product packing, and business administration, among others. Courses on food management - given by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism - and workshops on the African culture also were part of the calendar of activities.
Each edition, new lecturers discuss with the community themes that help craftspeople in design, production, sales and/or exports.
Workshops that teach several craft production techniques related to works as: painting, fuxico 's manufacture, sewing, papier-mâché, among others are offered free of charge to the visitors
